This course is designed to familiarize the participants with threats posed by the malicious use of cyber technologies. Participants will learn best practices on how to keep their computers and personal information safe, secured and protected.

Learning outcomes:

Understand the impacts cybercrime has on society
Apply procedures for the Protection of data.
Describe the ethical and responsible use of cyberspace.
Explain the threats posed by the malicious activities.
Apply the knowledge gained to protect against the malicious activities.

Entry Requirements

Minimum Secondary 2 education or equivalent; or
Able to read, write, speak and understand English at WPL Level 3
Learners should be able to read a computer monitor and see at a distance and possess basic skills in operating a computer

*Individuals not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to an interview before acceptance.
