I have worked in frontline security operations for 30 years and now have the privilege of contributing to training and development. My background enables me to leverage my extensive operational experience to bridge theory and practice, making training more effective. I feel very fulfilled after each training session, especially when trainees can grow in confidence and capability.

I enjoy training because it allows me to share lifesaving knowledge and practical skills that can make a real difference in someone’s life. Seeing participants grow in confidence and leave the class better prepared to respond in emergencies is especially fulfilling. My previous experience with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Emergency Medical Services (EMS) has provided me with valuable frontline exposure to
emergency situations and patient care, strengthening my practical knowledge, decision-making abilities, and understanding of the importance of timely first aid intervention. These experiences enable me to bring real-world insights into my training, making
lessons more practical, relatable, and meaningful for participants. 

Being a trainer means more than just teaching. Every session is an opportunity to share knowledge and witness others grow in confidence and skill. It is about connection—the energy in the room, the questions that challenge me, and the smile on their faces when success is finally achieved. I feel proud and grateful to be a part of their journey.
