Access Control Management (Operate Basic Security Equipment)

This course aims to equip security officers with the essential knowledge and skills to operate basic security equipment such as an access control, alarm monitoring system and closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitoring equipment.


Learning outcomes:

  • Operate access control equipment to identify access points of entry for different levels of authorised entries

  • Operate alarm monitoring equipment to report locations of unauthorised entries

  • Operate CCTV monitoring equipment to identify the nature of unauthorised entries


Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Secondary 2 education or equivalent; or

  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English at WPL Level 3

  • Able to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 3

  • No pre-existing medical conditons


*Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance

Learners need to attain at least 75% attendance and pass the course in order to obtain a Statement of Attainment.
